Trista looked around at the students who had divided themselves onto teams. It figured, the Avengers and Deameaters were both on separate teams, and the Moonstrikes had dispersed between the two.
What else was new, "All right students, because your teacher for survival skills has gone and gotten himself injured I'm running your class for the day. Who here knows how to play baseball." The entire class raised their hands. "Well that makes my life simple. Remember this is a nonpowered game! I don't want to have to disqualify you." she said without any conviction. It was school rules that when the students played baseball they weren't allowed to use their powers, but that was a rule that no one abided by. "Remember phasers if the ball goes through you your out, if a teleporters catches the ball on a fly it's in. telekinetics no catching the balls with your mind, it has to touch your glove, time travelers no going forward in time and seeing how that will play out. I know who you are and I have my eye on you. Any others I forgot, if you use your powers and I don't like it Your Out!" She revised the rules because everyone always used their powers.
She began to tie her hair back in a ponytail and thought for a second, "ALL PETS OFF THE FIELD!" She ordered and let her hands fall back to her sides.
"Avengers team, your on the field first, Dreameaters your up to bat." She walked lightly over to the referees position and yelled, "PLAY BALL!"

Aelita looked around at her team mates they were all dividing up positions, "All right team," One of the seniors was going on about where everyone was going to go, "Night elf your in right field." he ordered.
Aelita didn't wait for more she quickly went out into the outfield and started to phase her way through the sky until she was about three yards in the air. It helped to be up high so she could dive to get the lower balls. She glanced to her side and spotted a teleporter in centerfield. "Figures." she muttered.

Alain sighed as he heard Dr.Payne call out his team and the Avengers. What was this woman thinking? Did she really intend to have fair playing with them on the field? Oh well, Alain was sure he would enjoy this win as he volunteered to step up to bat. He rarely did any physical work, but in this case he figured he'd make an exception.
He picked up a bat on his way over to the plate and eyed a young girl lifting herself up into the sky. He clicked his tongue, tucked his bat under an arm and rolled up his sleeves, didn't want to get them wrinkled or dirtied. Heavens no, for what he was wearing, blood was easier to get out than dirt. He made sure of that.
"Hey, dude, catch!" One of his teammates chucked a helmet at him, one that he almost didn't catch on account of it coming right at his designer vest, that, and his hands were holding the bat. Alain held up the helmet and contemplated wearing it. On one hand, his hair was nicely done, but on the other, he really didn't want a concussion, so he gingerly sat the hardhat atop his head, and waited for the pitch. (OoC: sorry if i made a mistake somewhere. don't really know a whole bunch on baseball ^-^

Marina rolled her eyes, she was third up and was already wearing a helmet. She didn't really need it though as soon as she hit the ball she was planing on turning into water and going through the ground to first plate anyway.

(Me neither)
Alexa was already standing out in the field, far from home plate. She mentally went over a list of creatures that would give her an advantage, pondering each one's strengths and weaknesses.
"Um, Miss Payne?" She asked loudly, raising her hand. "As long as I catch it, does shapeshifting count as fair? Excepting flying?"

((Well at least it's not football at least I know most of the rules to Baseball){I'm doing Dr. Payne I'm too lazy to switch})
Trista smiled, "That's fine dear." she called to a girl she hadn't met well, but that was a good thing that ment that she hadn't been to the hospital or the principals office.
Aelita watched the senior pitch, he was a speeder, go figure the only more obvious power to make a pitcher was a telepath. Well he had a nasty fastball that was for sure.

Alexa smiled. NOW she was ready. She had decided to go with a dog, because they didn't have opposable thumbs and they could still catch frisbees and balls better than most adequetly-coordinated people. She quickly phased and waited for the ball to come her way.

Marina sighed, although she had her aunt tied around her little finger she was still a fair umpire. It was irritating that way. She always hated a fair ref.

Alain held back a groan. It figures the one throwing the ball had to be freaking Speedy Gonzales. He wasn't the M. Jordan of the baseball world, heck, the only thing Alain knew about this sport was that when someone threw a ball, another person had to hit it, while people ran around trying not to get tagged, or to catch the ball. He shook his head, and raised his bat. It seemed the smart thing to do would be to read this boys mind for what pitch he was going to make, but Alain already knew that doing so would have been more pointless than bringing a loudspeaker to a deaf rally.
"Alright, then Alain. Seems you're going to have to play fair." He muttered to himself, he bent his knees slightly, and kept his eyes on the boy pitching. He'd be damned if he missed the throw. His pride was on stake here! The boy reared his arm back, hiked his leg up, and sent the ball flying. Before Alain had a chance to blink, the ball zoomed past his head, and almost flinched(theres no way he'd willingly flinch in public).
Son of a...
Was that what they called a strike? He bit his cheek as he got back into postition for another go.

"Strike one!" Trista called lazily.
Aelita sighed and sat down in mid air.

Alain glared at the pitcher, making sure to put him in his book of people to screw around with later. He gripped the bat hard, this time he would be ready. He made note of how fast the boy threw, so if he swung his bat when the boys arm was in mid toss, he might be able to land a hit. Alain nodded to himself, ready to put his theory to the test. Once again, the boy pulled his arm back, lifted his leg, and-
crack!
Alain grinned widely and dropped his bat, almost forgetting that he was supposed to be running to the bases... At least, he thought so, thats what his teammates were shouting...

Aelita swore she was closest and the ball was ten feet below her she dove for it sadly it had hit the ground before she caught it but she went through the ground as she phase the ball to move through the ground as well, she swore and jumped up so her head was out of the ground before she threw it to the first baseman. She thought he caught it but she wasn't sure if the batter had gotten to the base first.

Through the use of peripheral vision, Alain could vaguely see the girl who was in the air zip down after his ball before she popped her head back up. He cursed. The only way to win this would be to do that dive thing he seen those pro baseball players do on TV when he was younger. He mentally scoffed at himself for two reasons, one was for not wearing P.E. friendly clothing, and the other was for even think that. Like hell would he ever be caught diving through dirt like some kind of naked mole rat. Then again, he really, really did not want to lose. It wasn't that he was afraid his 'buddies' over to the side would be mad at him(he really couldn't care if they were upset or not), its just that his sister would most likely get word of his failure, and he would hate to have to hurt her because of her teasing... not that he wouldn't mind having a reason to hurt her both physically and mentally.
The girl threw the ball, and that's when Alain made up his mind; He let his pride get the better of him, so he dove for the plate like some kid on a pile of candy, sliding across the dirt and cursing so much that he'd make a sailor blush. He felt his body make contact with something, but didn't know if he made it to the base or not.

Trista sighed, "Safe." she called tie always went to the runner.
Aelita sighed and walked up so she was four yards in the air this time, she recognized the hitter he had super strength. She hated batters who had super strengh.
